One reason, among others is that when prices on lots of things go up, so people postpone or cancel their travel plans to save money. Less demand for gasoline. Prices go up to compensate for lost revenue.

Corporate greed...and those stupid tariffs. We import the most oil from Canada.

I have a 1/2 tank of gas right now. Working from home, I don't drive often, so I can go over a month without filling my tank. I'm debating whether to go top it off before prices get out of control.
